We derive approximately 75% of our income through commercially competitive contracts for work performed by our supervised employees. Approximately 18% of our income comes from governmental sources, including the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, which pays a stipend of $13/day for each supervised employee. Additional funding comes from the St. Louis Office for Mental Retardation and Developmental Disability Resources and the Greater St. Louis Regional Empowerment Zone.
The balance of our income, approximately 7%, currently comes from charitable, tax-exempt gifts.
